Round and around we twirled,
until I was delightfully
dizzy with love.
I turned to beg
the love of my life
never leave me--
he was gone.
Never go dancing at Niagra Falls.
To call this a twist means something in two different ways, huh?
ReplyDeleteI the whimsical approach and the well-written build. Good one, Tina.
Ooh! I was twirling around right with them and took the plunge as well. Loved this!
ReplyDeleteI knew that you would!
Deleteoh, no - is it terrible of me to have chuckled at your end? :)
ReplyDeleteNot at all! That is what I did, too!
DeleteHa!ha!Look before you dance in love;-)He really fell in love-what a twist!Loved it Tina:-)
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteI was thinking you twirled til you hurled, but far less predictable...as usual! ;)
ReplyDeleteUsually I do tend to hurl when I twirl too much, but I thought I'd take it in a different direction. In case anyone was eating...
Deletelol I was getting all mushy and BAM Very funny.
ReplyDeleteUsually the BAM happens when things start to get mushy. At least in my life!
DeleteGeez! How can I get suckered in a 33 word story?! That is one amazing job of writing and word choice! Didn't see the twist coming. Laughed out loud when I came to it. My wife just looked up and wants to know what is so funny. I said it was this story. Read it to her. Now she is laughing, too. Well done!
ReplyDeleteI am glad that I could make two people laugh for a bit!
DeleteA cool piece of writing. I will never dance at Niagra Falls.
ReplyDeleteLol! Then my work is done.
DeleteLoved the twist. Funny and cleverly written.
ReplyDeleteGetting caught up is such an important part of love
ReplyDelete. Isn't it? Holding on is too. Hee!
Loved the spinning and twirling, it took me right there.. And over the falls. ;-)
True, so true. Lol!
DeleteThis was delightful-and then I got to the ending and I completely fell in love with it!! It also gave me my first good laugh of the day! Thanks for that!!
ReplyDeleteYou are quite welcome!
Deleteha! :D I cracked up, so I suppose that's a compliment!
ReplyDeleteIndeed. Thank you for that!
DeleteWonderful piece! I was totally caught up in the moment. Nice take on the prompt!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteAh hahaha! You totally caught me by surprise. I was expecting something poignant or painful; instead, I got belly laughs. Nicely done!
