Miriam sashayed confidently toward the podium. I tried a frantic pantomime. Miriam's glamorous dress was jammed into the back of her underpants. As far as that overinflated ego was concerned, I was a ghost.
The video was a hit on YouTube.
Yeah, I don't know where that came from.
HEE!!!!
ReplyDeleteOverinflated egos will put you in some embarrassing binds, won't they?
I love the "You Tube Sensation" line..it was the perfect end to your awesome Gargleblaster. :)
Hilarious! I could just picture it in my mind. Loved it!
ReplyDeleteHA HA HA I love this!
ReplyDeleteLOL! Maybe she just deserved that :P
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like she got what she deserved--and I loved the title about not trying that hard to give a sign. Still, I shuddered a little for her :)
ReplyDeleteWell, I guess at least a *little* effort was made to let her know? Still can claim the high road! Very funny!
ReplyDeleteACK!! That would happen to me and I'm terrified of public speaking so that would only make it worse! Lol I like your creativity.
ReplyDeleteHa! I love how the title furthers the story. Hilarious!
ReplyDeletegreat one
ReplyDeleteI was in the parking lot of a chain restaurant today waiting on the wife to meet me for a dinner. A young couple, early twenties, pulled up in a sports car. The girl's dress was hanging out the passenger side door. They'd traveled miles with it flow through the car door frame.
I accidentally tucked my dress into my underwear before (and stood in an auditorium with scads of people in the rows behind me for about an hour before someone told me) and I guarantee that I am STILL glad there was no youtube in those days.....I think my 'horrified feeling' was rekindled reading this very descriptive post!!! Great write.
ReplyDeleteHorrifying! And Funny! :-)
ReplyDeleteOh my tummy hurts from laughing so hard! Serves her right for ignoring the signs ;) Loved this :D
ReplyDeleteOh this matches my Avi so much, that would happen to me haha.
ReplyDeletelol. this is awesome!
ReplyDeleteI'm cracking up at that picture. I've done that and walked down the street. No youtube in those days, thank heavens. Well done!
ReplyDeleteooo, in the little I know about Miriam I'm glad her embarrassment is a Youtube hit.
ReplyDeleteI love the tension between your title and your story :)
ReplyDeleteYou did try, though...a lesser woman wouldn't have. ;) Love this -- too funny.
ReplyDeleteThe video is always a hit!
