Mother-Son-Daddy Conversations

We are driving home from daycare.

"Zane, how was school today?" I ask, glancing in the rear view mirror.

"I don't spit." comes the answer from the back seat.

"That's great, but what did you do at school?" I try again.

"I don't spit." is the response.

"I am so glad, Zane." I keep at it. "Did you do anything fun at school today?"

"I don't spit." Zane is firm on his spitting behavior.

"Hey Zane! Did you go outside to play today?" Larry tries his turn.

"I don't spit," Zane replies. "I don't kick."

At least he is consistent.

NOTE: The post that I was going to make today was delayed by blogger being down. I am going to try and have it up for tomorrow instead! Thank you for your patience!

  2. Love it. I can just imagine the teacher saying, "repeat after me, I don't spit and I don't kick". That's what would prompt mine to answer this way. :)

  3. I see this as a succesful day at school. If my boy's only response is along the lines that he did not pick his nose or butt, we're all good.
